Missions and Family

Though it is difficult to pack and prepare for a mission trip anywhere and at anytime, I believe that the pull of family makes it even harder. So many things to do and be concerned over both for the mission trip and for the family that you leave behind for a week. You often wonder if it is worth the hassle and the headaches. In my experience the trip has always taught me a lot and stretched me to grow beyond what I thought I was capable of doing. Better still is the reaffirmation that there is nothing like coming home to your wife and kids! Those periods of absence make my heart grow ever fonder. I'm also thankful I don't have a job that requires travel from home every week! Looking forward to coming home already!
