Sometimes it's good to steal away from work, life, and the stresses of your day with an old friend for a cup of coffee or a quick bite for lunch. Definitely a good thing to do as often as you can. The trouble is that you usually just have to stop and say, I'm not going to do x, y, z, at least not right now, because for my own sanity I need a break. I need to sit in a friends presence...words aren't even necessary just being in their company has a way of reframing your life and giving you some much needed perspective. So thankful for my best friend, who also happens to be my smokin' hot wife and the quick lunch or moment together that helps bring clarity and a small measure of sanity.
